A new month, a new beginning!  Big or small, it doesn’t matter what the goal is as long as we keep moving in the right direction. What are some of your plans and objectives for this month? Statistics show that writing down goals increases the odds of achieving them!

Sara has always combined her love of teaching with her love of songwriting and has given countless songwriting seminars throughout the U.S. and Canada. Besides being one of the main administrators (and now bloggers) Sara teaches Song Feedback and Lyric Writing at SongU.com.

I find it easy to make a checklist of easy small attainable goals ( e.g. make a phone call, email somebody about something), But my September goal is to move forward on 2 large projects that feel a bit overwhelming and for which I’ve been procrastinating.. So I guess my REAL goal for this month is to make a list of small steps for both these projects. If I do that, I can begin checking them off and that will feel better than endlessly mulling the entire project around in my head.

    1. Finish and record new song co-written with Jamie.
    2. Record new lyrics for song rewrite.
    3. Complete SongTown class assignments.
    4. Finish reading “Daring Greatly”
    5. Complete 2 more lessons in Bonnie Baker self paced class.
