Goals for July 2016

A new month, a new beginning!  Big or small, it doesn’t matter what the goal is as long as we keep moving in the right direction. What are some of your plans and objectives for this month? Statistics show that writing down goals increases the odds of achieving them! So join us in goal-setting for the month and post yours in the comment area.

Sara Light has been writing professionally in Nashville since 1996. Sara has always combined her love of teaching with her love of songwriting and has given countless songwriting seminars throughout the U.S. and Canada. Besides being one of the main administrators (and now bloggers) Sara teaches Song Feedback and Lyric Writing at SongU.com.

  1. For me, July will be an informational gathering month. I have several irons in the fire that need further research and connections. Since summer tends to be a more laid back time for everyone with vacations and family activities, I’ll allow myself the space to be in “intake” mode, more than output mode.

  2. Sounds good for you, Sara. My July Goals are to get feedback on “Lion & the Lamb” on which I have worked endlessly, and maybe to do a worktape on “Mama Said Welcome”. I also want to record the rewrite on “Mercy Comes”. Hope I can complete one of these goals at least.

    • They all sound like great goals for July, Sister Kay Kay. Even getting one done would be an accomplishment. “Mama Said Welcome” is an intriguing title.
